Whether you want to embrace your evil side or have new ways to mod your game, the newest patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 has it all.
New Evil Endings
Patch 7 introduces 13 new cinematics at the conclusion of your evil playthroughs. These include endings for all origin and custom characters. If you wanted to make Karlach evil now’s your chance. Alongside the evil changes, Dark Urge players will be able to recruit a certain bard temporarily to their party. Temporarily.
Mod Tools
This update brings a new feature known as the Mod Manager. This new tool allows players to browse and install mods directly in the game. The Mod Toolkit acts as a separate application and allows players to create and move mods into the game. The toolkit is only available on PC as a separate download to the main game.
Honor Mode and Gameplay
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any harder, Larian has given more bosses and mini bosses legendary actions. Malus Thorm has an ability called Grasping Appendage. Think twice about pushing Dror Ragzlin into the spider pit or you might be fighting some eight-legged friends. Other additions to gameplay include an improved split-screen experience with adds a seamless merge of the screens when players are near each other. Selecting camp supplies will now only take what you need, and player characters are now able to talk to each other while exploring.
And More…
The patch also brings multiple quality of life changes and bug fixes. Reaction tabs now only need players to select the reaction they want to use. Astarion has learnt how to do more than read at camp and Karlach isn’t brushing skin anymore. The list is a big one, so if you’d like to see all the changes you can head to the official patch notes.
Players who enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3 on consoles will have to wait a little longer for the patch. PC players can experience all these changes and updates right now. Due to certifications and Larian wanting to make sure everything runs smoothly; the update will hit consoles in October. That’s not all. Larian has teased that patch 7 won’t be the last major update. Who knows what to expect in the future.
